When Should I Arrive?

Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your class as late arrivals will not be permitted to join class.

For Bikram Yoga and Inferno Hot Pilates classes, wear light comfortable clothing you can move easily in. 3/4 pants and a t-shirt are OK, but long sleeves and long pants are not recommended for our classes! Please note that Yin Yoga is not a heated class so please wear appropriate clothing for the weather conditions. A blanket and socks are recommended for winter classes – Yum!

Please bring a large, bath size towel, a large bottle of water and a yoga mat if you have your own. (Mat hire is included for your first class while on the Newcomer Intro Pass and we also rent towels for $2 if needed)

Remember the good old days? When you turned up for your yoga or fitness class and nobody worried whether you were booked in or not? Yeah. That. We have a large room at BYSC for our classes with plenty of space. So if you don’t have a booking, you can most definitley do the class – we like to do things a bit ‘old school’ around here! However, if you like to be super dooper organised, you are able schedule your classes using the Momence app. I’m told you can even use the app to sync your class bookings to your calender, so go for it!!

If you think you are not flexible or fit – you are in the right place! Remember that everyone (even your teacher) has been a first-timer at some point. All our classes are for beginners and are suitable to all levels of fitness, so you’ll be well looked after by your teacher. There is a great saying, “the action of trying to do the posture, is the posture”. As long as you try the right way you will still get the benefits and in no time at all you will be doing things you never thought possible. Please remember to mention any injuries or medications you may be on to your teacher before class.

Hydration before class is very important. Try and drink around 500ml of water an hour before class then another litre over the next hour after class. Sip slowly on water during class if required. It is also recommended that you don’t consume a heavy meal (2 hours prior to your class) as it may make you feel nauseous.

Yes we 2 large showers so you can get ready for work after class in privacy. Or have a shower after our evening session, pop on your jammies and go straight home to bed!
